Peer Learning
If you are facing a challenge in your business or in your life, who could be better
to turn to than someone who has gone through the same thing? Participants provide
peer support and advice through the Nuts and Bolts peer learning program.

Computer Training
Computer training is available at Jesus Loves You Society (JLYS) at 15th Ave and 2nd Street SW on
Healthy Minds Café
A series of informal presentations on topics such as managing stress, handling seasonal affective disorder and other helpful information for people managing their mental health. The event takes place at the Second Cup at 2803 17th Avenue SW (near the Killarney recreation centre) on various dates beginning at 5:30. People may come and go as they find it convenient and the Second Cup will, as usual, be selling great coffees and snacks. Admission is free, though we encourage you to patronize our host, Second Cup. Micro Loan Fund
One of Opportunity Works' innovative programs is the Millennium Phoenix Micro Loan
Fund. To our knowledge it is to date the only program designed to provide
short-term financing for entrepreneurs facing mental health challenges.
We are seeking to expand and improve this program in the future.
Sharon Walz Memorial Business Development Scholarship
An annual scholarship is available to the winning applicant who must be a Calgary mental health consumer who is actively engaged in business development. Deadline for applications is July 31, 2012. Click here for details ...
